Free Local Delivery: Take advantage of the limited-time savings!

Well the clothing racks were getting bare.  The transition between seasons is always kind of boring.    We plan on expecting a couple of deliveries a month.  In fact when we do the ordering, we try and space out the deliveries so we don’t have to deal with a large amount of clothing coming in all at once.  This ensures we have new product regularly, and there is always something new.  Well this happened today.. So much for planning!!

Well I don't know where the summer went, but here we are the beginning of September, and heading into Fall.  We just got back from a buying show, and this time we were able to attend the Gift Show and the Mode Show in Toronto.  These shows are mostly about the accessories and not the clothing.  We found some new products and product lines, and had some fun meeting new vendors.  It was pretty successful, but you'll see for yourselves as the product starts arriving.

We have had the store operating for about 12 years now.  It has morphed from a business in my house to a storefront.  There have been lots of trials and tribulations, and every day there are new challenges.  Thank you to all our wonderful customers for supporting us over the years.  You are all a constant reminder of why we like to be in this business.

One of those smiling faces that we see on a regular basis is a lady dear to our heart, Helga Klem.  Helga has lived in the community for quite a number of years, and never disappoints with her joyful humor and heavy German accent. She is also very lucky, because nine times out of ten,  she will win a basket at our Fashion Show.    We love her lots and enjoy every time she comes for a visit.

My cute little puppy Jake turned 2 on July 13.  It is a continual trial trying to get him trained.  He is good most of the time, but being a little dog he tends to be a barker.  So we got an E collar, and if he is wearing it, he will listen.  If doesn't have it on, he knows...

The fact of the matter is, I don't know who is becoming better trained, me or the dog.  When he wants out he barks at the door until you get up off your duff and let him out.  When he wants dinner he stares you down until you serve up his meal.  When he wants to play he brings his toy and hits your leg until you throw it.  If I am not paying attention and on my phone, he will paw my leg until I notice him.  Yep he is one smart doggie.

For quite a few years now we have stocked an assortment of Tribal clothing.  We were looking for a trendy but fashionable line that would appear to a wide variety of ages and styles.  Tribal has been around over 50 years, and are truly styled with comfort, fit, and fashion, and yet are very flirty and fun! Check out our spring/summer styles.

Sometimes we just have to take a chance and go for it.  Our first Fashion Show this year was a little impromptu, with definitely lots of winging it happening, but our event turned out fabulous!  We put on the first open to the public event that we have hosted in a couple of years.  I was a little apprehensive, not knowing how many people would show up on a Saturday afternoon, and if everyone was still worried about being in a crowd situation with COVID still hanging out there, but everything went off without a hitch, and we definitely had a blast!  The models did a wonderful job strutting their stuff.

A special thanks goes out to my daughter's boyfriend and my grandson, who stole the show with their Diva outfits and wigs.  It was surprising how a couple of gents could definitely up the ratings.  All us ladies had a good laugh which could have been due to the swinging hips or hairy legs, not sure which...lol!  Check out our Facebook page for more pics.

It has been slow in the shop lately, mostly due to the horrific weather we have been getting, and the inevitable post-Christmas burnout.  I love to craft, so when things are quiet I take the opportunity to make jewelry.  I took this up a few years ago as another outlet for my creativity. As with all crafts, you find a magnet is attached to your butt anytime you enter a crafting or beading store, so consequently, I won’t run out of product anytime soon.  I post pictures on Facebook, and there are many items on display in the shop.  Lately, I have been working on the branding to change the look of my inventory.  More new stock coming soon!!
